Washing
- Hand Wash Only: Do not machine wash. This ultra-lightweight, 15g silk fabric is extremely delicate and can tear or snag in a washing machine.
- Water: Hand wash gently in lukewarm or cold water (max 30°C / 85°F).
- Detergent: Use a mild liquid silk/wool detergent or a gentle baby shampoo. NEVER use regular laundry detergents, bleach, or harsh stain removers, as they strip the natural protective shine of silk fibers.
- Action: Submerge the scarf, gently swirl it for 2-3 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Do not wring, twist, or scrub the fabric.
Drying
- The Towel Roll Trick: Lay the damp scarf flat on a clean, dry white towel. Roll the towel up gently to absorb excess water. Do not squeeze.
- Air Dry: Unroll and hang the scarf over a padded hanger or lay it flat to air dry in the shade. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent the silk colors from fading or yellowing.
- No Dryer: NEVER tumble dry silk.
Ironing
Iron while the scarf is still slightly damp on the lowest "Silk" heat setting. Iron on the reverse side using a clean pressing cloth between the iron and the scarf to protect the fabric surface.
